Fire Station at Longleng Inaugurated

Shri. Denngan Y. Avennoho, DC Longleng inaugurate Fire Station Longleng on behalf of Shri. Toyang Changkong Chang, Hon’ble Parl Secy, Fire & ES and NRE on 27/11/2015

Fire Station, Longleng was inaugurated on 27/11/2015 by Shri. Denngan Y. Avennoho, DC Longleng on behalf of Shri. Toyang Changkong Chang, Hon’ble Parl Secy, Fire & ES and NRE in presence of officers, public leaders and well wishers. The programme was chaired by Shri. Neilasa Sopfii, DIG (F&ES). Rs.1 crore was sanctioned under State-Plan in the year 2011-12 for construction of Fire Station (Garages, 2 Nos. of barrack accommodation, boundary fencing of 2.5 acres, water reservoir and store) and the work was executed by Shri. Mandok Phom, Class-I Contractor and Shri. P. Imti Phom, Class-I Contractor under the supervision of Police Engg Project. Mr. H. Beau, Pastor, Longleng Town Baptist Church pronounced invocation and dedicatory prayer. Shri. Metpong Phom, Ex-Minister, Shri. P. Longphe Phom, Vice-President, Phom People’s Council, Shri. Yanger Jamir, Addl. SP Longleng and Shri. Pukyong Phom  delivered a brief speech on requirement and necessity of Fire Station at Longleng.

Shri. Neilasa Sopfii, DIG (F & ES) highlighted a brief activities of the Department and also informed that since 2011, 5 (five) new Fire Stations – Chumukedima, Kiphire, Peren, North Kohima and Longleng have been opened.

Shri. Denngan Y. Avennoho, DC Longleng in his inaugural speech stated the requirement and necessity of Fire Station at Longleng. He also instructed the fire fighters to be in readiness always and also appealed to the public to co-operate with the fire fighters.
